An 11-year-old Pakistani student, who recently completed sixth grade, has developed an AI assistant named Muhammad Ali that can communicate through a robotic head. Created by Hasnain as part of a summer robotics training course, Muhammad Ali is a voice-activated AI assistant capable of performing various tasks such as providing recipes, answering questions, and controlling home appliances. It can also search online and play movies upon command.

 

Hasnain introduced his creation, explaining that Muhammad Ali has been designed with a personality and face, giving users the experience of interacting with a person. The AI assistant also features home automation capabilities, making it a versatile tool for both daily tasks and assisting Hasnain in his other projects.

 

Hasnain’s passion for science and technology has driven him to build innovative projects in the past, including a Bluetooth-powered car in 2022 and a virtual reality game in 2023. His latest project, Muhammad Ali, stands out from other AI chatbots due to its unique personality and physical presence, something Hasnain believes is lacking in popular AI models like GPT and Claude. He also emphasized that Muhammad Ali is distinctly Muslim and Pakistani, with the goal of being “kind and helpful.”

 

While Hasnain designed and built the robot largely on his own, he received assistance from his robotics teacher, Shakeel Abbas, who provided the necessary equipment. Abbas praised Hasnain’s creativity and dedication, noting that the young inventor is already making significant strides in the field of robotics.
