ChatGPT Creates History by Acing the U.S. Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE)

According to a recent report, the spotlight of Artificial Intelligence (AI) programs, ChatGPT has passed the U.S. Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE). The examination highlighted different methods of utilizing language models and was based on three stages; Step 1, Step 2 CK, and Step 3. 

The researchers reported, “ChatGPT performed at or near the passing threshold for all three assessments without any specialized training or reinforcement.” they further added that the clarity and concordance of explanations were up to the mark. 

It is also reported in the paper that, “these results suggest that large language models (LLMs) may have the potential to assist with medical education and, potentially, clinical decision-making.” it amazingly cleared the three-step USMLE that covers all the basic information related to science, clinical reasoning, bioethics, and management.

It was not the first time, that ChatGPT was programmed to deal with any examination and the difficulty level of the examination was extremely high to test its efficiency. A while ago, it was discovered by the professors of Pennsylvania’s Wharton Scholl of Business, that ChatGPT could easily ace the MBA course and management examinations.
