In a bid to keep up with the ever-evolving world of artificial intelligence, DeepLearning.AI has partnered with OpenAI to offer a short course on ChatGPT Prompt Engineering for Developers. The course, which is set to run for just an hour, will provide participants with the opportunity to learn about the latest developments in prompt engineering, a crucial aspect of AI technology.
With this course, one discovers how to create new, strong apps rapidly using a large language model (LLM). One can quickly develop capabilities that learn to innovate and create value in ways that were either too expensive, too complicated, or just not conceivable before using the OpenAI API.
Isa Fulford (OpenAI) and Andrew Ng (DeepLearning.AI) are the instructors for this course who will explain how LLMs function in this brief course, offer best practices for rapid engineering, and demonstrate how LLM APIs can be utilized in apps for a range of tasks that include:
- Summarizing (e.g., summarizing user reviews for brevity)
- Inferring (e.g., sentiment classification, topic extraction)
- Transforming text (e.g., translation, spelling & grammar correction)
- Expanding (e.g., automatically writing emails)
Participants will also discover two essential guidelines for crafting powerful questions, how to methodically design great prompts, and how to create a unique chatbot. Numerous examples are used to illustrate each concept.
Collaborating with OpenAI, the course is beginner friendly which means it can be benefitted by anyone with the basic know-how of Python. However, it is also appropriate for experienced machine learning engineers who want to use LLMs to get close to the forefront of prompt engineering.
