A significant delegation led by the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) is scheduled to visit Qatar from December 2 to December 5, 2023, to explore collaborative opportunities in the field of Information Technology (IT).
Headed by Caretaker IT Minister Dr. Umar Saif, the delegation comprises representatives from over 35 IT companies, SIFC, the Ministry of IT, and the Pakistan Software Export Board. During the visit, high-profile meetings with top Qatari officials and IT sector representatives are planned, along with active participation in the Pakistan-Qatar IT Conference on December 3.
The conference will feature distinguished speakers, including Dr. Umar Saif and prominent figures from the Pakistan IT sector, addressing topics such as IT cooperation, investment opportunities in Pakistan, and facilitation for Pakistani companies in Qatar. The Ministry of IT, in collaboration with the Pakistani Embassy, aims to make this visit effective, with a focus on business-to-business networking events, allowing the delegation to engage with Qatari IT companies and government authorities.
This strategic visit underscores Pakistan’s dedication to showcasing its IT potential, fostering trust with Qatari authorities, and exploring avenues for mutual collaboration and investment. It also reflects Pakistan’s commitment to expanding its global presence in the IT sector, following a successful IT delegation visit to Saudi Arabia earlier this year.
