Federal Minister for IT & Telecom calls on NITB to globally market ‘Made in Pakistan’ products

Syed Amin ul Haque, the Federal Minister for IT & Telecom, emphasized the importance of effectively marketing the products of the National Information Technology Board (NITB) at both domestic and international levels. This will help promote the “Made in Pakistan” brand globally.

The 4th meeting of NITB, chaired by Aminul Haque at the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication (MoITT), introduced the newly appointed Chief Executive Officer, Babar Majid Bhatti. During the meeting, the CEO’s initiatives and vision for the improvement of the respective sectors were appreciated.

Amin ul Haque directed the CEO to prioritize merit-based promotions and discourage any actions that go beyond established rules and regulations. He expressed confidence in the CEO’s skills, competence, and international experience, hoping that NITB would achieve its desired goals under his leadership. With its newly acquired autonomous status, Amin ul Haque emphasized that NITB’s responsibilities have increased, and urged the organization to effectively market its products to showcase the uniqueness of the “Made in Pakistan” brand globally.

The meeting also involved detailed discussions on NITB’s rules, ongoing projects, and upcoming projects, which were forwarded to the relevant board committees for review. Various officials and directors from the IT and telecom sectors attended the meeting, along with the assistance of the Director General of Admin and HR, Imran Haider, and the Director General of Telecom, Faisal Ratiyal.
