A Game-Changer for Search in Pakistan

Google launched its new AI Mode in Pakistan, based on a customized version of Gemini 2.5, to provide a smarter and more interactive search experience. The feature is available live in English on mobile and desktop devices, including the Google App on Android and iOS.

Beyond Links: Real Answers to Real Questions

AI Mode changes the way users search by dealing with complex, long-tail queries and giving rich, contextual results, not merely links. It’s intended for use in things like trip planning, tutorials, product reviews, and so on, providing real-time, actionable answers.

Pakistan-Specific Assistance at Your Tips

This application is custom-made for local users; students, parents, tourists, and web shoppers can now pose extremely specific questions such as:

“What are the best scholarships available for Pakistani students applying abroad in 2025?”

“Which Pakistani street foods are safe for kids, and where can I find them in Lahore?”

With voice, text, and image input and assistance from Google Lens, day-to-day questions become effortless and natural.

Smart Tech Behind the Scenes

AI Mode employs a technique known as “query fan-out,” dividing a user’s query into smaller components, querying them separately, and aggregating results from various sources such as the Knowledge Graph, product catalogs, and current web data. If in doubt, it securely falls back to a regular Google search.

What’s On the Horizon?

Currently released in English, Urdu language support and richer regional customization are on the horizon in upcoming updates, bolstering the tool’s usefulness for users in Pakistan.
