Google for Startups has introduced the AI Academy, a new initiative aimed at fostering the growth of AI startups in Pakistan and the broader Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. This program will bring together over 20 startups focused on AI technologies, encouraging a vibrant AI community and facilitating cross-border collaboration.

 

Participants in the AI Academy will benefit from tailored mentorship provided by Google’s top AI experts, who will offer personalized guidance. Additionally, eligible startups can receive up to $350,000 in Google Cloud credits to support their AI projects. The program also offers valuable community-building opportunities, enabling startups to network and collaborate with peers across the region.

 

The AI Academy is designed to expedite the market entry of startups by assisting them in creating a proof of concept and developing a comprehensive product roadmap. This approach will enable startups to swiftly validate and refine their AI solutions, demonstrating their practical value and accelerating their journey to success.

 

Farhan S. Qureshi, Google’s Country Director for Pakistan, emphasized the significance of this initiative, stating that the AI Academy underscores Google’s commitment to advancing AI in the APAC region. He expressed hope that Pakistani startups would leverage this opportunity to enhance their AI innovations and strengthen the regional AI ecosystem.
