Google has enhanced its Gemini AI with the new 1.5 Flash language model, making it faster and more accurate. The update extends Gemini’s context window from 8K to 32K tokens, allowing it to handle longer and more complex information.

 

Previously available only to paying customers, the upgraded Gemini is now accessible to free users. It’s integrated into Google Messages across Europe and 230 countries, supporting multiple languages. Users can also upload files to Gemini Advanced, a feature soon to be available for free users as well.

 

The update introduces information cards related to user prompts, providing an AI-powered search experience with relevant Gmail results. Google is also rolling out Gemini for teenagers globally, with additional safety measures designed in collaboration with child safety experts. Users aged 13 and older can access Gemini, but those in the European Economic Area must be 18 or older.
