The government of Japan has recently removed Pakistan from its red-listed countries category against the COVID-19 pandemic.
The removal was confirmed by the Pakistan embassy situated in Tokyo that the government of Japan has removed Pakistan from their red-listed countries category due to the efforts of the embassy of Pakistan, as per the embassy confirmed through a tweet.
As a result of the efforts of the Embassy of Pakistan, Tokyo, the Government of Japan has removed Pakistan from the Category of Red List countries in relation to Covid-19. The new categorization will come into effect from 27 July 2022 onwards. 1/2

Furthermore, the revised category list will be in effect from July 27 onward however, the precautionary measures would persist.
The Pakistani community in Japan has been advised to “be vigilant against Covid-19,” as stated by the embassy.
