In 2021-22, Pakistan Earns A Record $2.62 Billion From It Services Exports.

According to the most recent reports, $2,615.815 million was earned by serving several information technology (IT) services in various nations during the fiscal year 2021-22.

During the past year, there has been a significant increase in IT exports.

According to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, a 24.10% increase has been earned from $2,107.800 million to $2615 million in the fiscal year 2020-21. (PBS).

The export of computer services increased by 26.40% last year, from $1,666.310 million to $2,106.145 million this year.

Software consultancy exports increased by 43.43%, rising from $554.612 million to $795.480 million. However, hardware consultancy services exports increased by 429.58 percent, from $0.551 million to $2.918 million.

The export and import of computer software-related services, on the other hand, surged by 34.87% to $563.071 million from $417.485 million. Repairing and maintenance services, on the other hand, increased from $0.662 million to $1.446 million.

Similarly, other computer services exports increased by 7.25%, rising from $693 million to $743.230 million. In contrast, IT services exports increased by 31.08%, from $3.990 million to $5.230 million.

Furthermore, news agency service exports increased by 49.65%, from $2.304 million to $3.448 million. Other information service exports increased by 5.69% to $3.448 million from $2.304 million.

When it comes to communications services, it has increased by 15.30% during the year, rising from $437.500 million to $504.440 million. Call center services, on the other hand, surged by 39.43%, from $154.554 million to $215.501 million. Moreover, other telecommunications services increased by 2.12% throughout the time, from $282.946 million to $288.939 million.

Overall, Pakistan’s IT services export has risen exponentially during this time period.
