MoU Signed to Integrate Zindagi App With E-Pay Punjab

For the online payment of government receipts through e-Pay Punjab, the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) and Zindigi, powered by JS Bank Limited, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

Zindigi will be onboarded for the digital integration of the Zindigi App with e-Pay Punjab by the MoU. Following the integration, more than one million users of the Zindigi App will be able to utilize the e-Pay Punjab App to pay traffic challans and 25 other taxes.

According to the “State of Apps Pakistan 2022” Research Insights report by Data Darbar, Zindigi has occupied a significant position as one of Pakistan’s five highly downloaded applications in the financial category. Pakistan is the fastest-growing app market among regional rivals thanks to its citizens’ 3.52 billion app downloads in the past year, a 35.4 percent increase over the year before.

In a ceremony held at Arfa Software Technology Park (ASTP), PITB Chairman Faisal Yousaf and Chief Officer Zindigi, Noman Azhar, signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organizations.

Additionally, PITB and Zindigi will look at joint ventures for digitizing public payments in Pakistan and globally.

The MoU also covers the collection of bill payments from GoPb billers. In addition to lowering late payments and raising customer satisfaction levels, this partnership will boost the number of clients using the bank’s bill payment services.
