NED University’s Another Landmark-Launch of Animation & Gaming Department

The federal Minister for IT & Telecommunication, Syed Amin-Ul-Haque has commented on the development of the Center of Excellence in Gaming and Animation (CEGA) and expressed his views saying that it is a gift for the youngsters.

The MoU was signed by the CEO of Ignite National Technology Fund, Asim Shahryar Husain. It is a company affiliated with the Ministry of IT & Telecom (MoITT) and the Registrar of NED University, Mr. Syed Ghazanfar Hussain.

During this MoU signing ceremony, the Federal Minister stated, “The gaming and animation industry has a volume of more than $500 billion, of which Pakistan’s share is limited to only $50 million. We hope that through the CEGA, Pakistan will be able to turn its short segment into a big one in the gaming and animation industry.”

The event was a big success and was charmed by the presence of many renowned names, the officials from the Ministry of IT & Telecom, Ignite, Ned University Karachi, and professionals from industry & academia.

The Ministry of IT & Ignite National Technology Fund have expressed their views about this recent advancement in the field of IT and educational institutes and stated, “We believe that this initiative will provide the necessary skills and platform to the youth of Pakistan to contribute to the gaming and animation industry while also aiding the country’s economy.”
