A member of the IT department named Syed Junaid Imam, together with Bank of Punjab President and CEO Zafar Masood, senior officials, and a sizable number of independent contractors, were reportedly invited as special guests to an event held at a neighborhood hotel in Islamabad.

In order to emphasize the crucial role that independent contractors play in the expansion of the IT industry, Syed Junaid Imam revealed during the occasion that freelancers could now open accounts in dollars and rupees from the comfort of their own homes.

In addition, he stated that the goal for Pakistan’s IT exports was $15 billion, and he urged commercial banks to assist in this goal by making their banking services and products available to IT firms and independent contractors. He also acknowledged the IT Ministry’s work in this area.
