Shehzad Ahmad, a Pakistani cybersecurity expert, has been formally acknowledged by NASA for identifying a critical security flaw in their system. In appreciation, NASA sent a letter recognizing his contributions to enhancing the safety of their digital infrastructure. His efforts, aligned with NASA’s Vulnerability Disclosure Policy (VDP), highlight the importance of ethical hacking in maintaining the integrity of sensitive information systems.

 

Ahmad, a Google-certified cybersecurity professional, currently works as a cybersecurity engineer at IPS Pakistan, an outsourcing firm. His career path includes previous roles as a cybersecurity project manager at Great Future Pakistan and participation as a bug hunter on the platform HackerOne. 

 

His expertise in finding vulnerabilities extends beyond NASA, as he has also been recognized by the government of KPK for identifying security weaknesses in government systems and received an appreciation certificate for his role in helping control the spread of COVID-19.

 

Ahmad’s academic background includes a bachelor’s degree in software engineering from Abasyn University. With a growing reputation in the field, his work contributes to Pakistan’s emerging role in global cybersecurity. His acknowledgment by NASA not only showcases his individual skills but also reflects the increasing recognition of Pakistani talent in the international tech community.
