Pakistani Freelancers Made $397 Million in the Fiscal Year 2021–2022

During FY2021–22, Pakistani freelancers generated $397.328 million in export revenue, representing a 2.74% rise. This comprises $131.884 million in non-IT-related exports and $265.444 million in exports connected to IT.

Pakistani freelancers generated export revenue of $396.243 million when compared to FY2020-21. This includes $363.064 million in exports connected to IT and $33.179 million in exports unrelated to IT.

A brief comparison of IT-related exports over the two years reveals that during FY2021-22, those exports dropped by 26.88%.

On the other hand, exports unrelated to IT had a tremendous surge of 297.492% in the years FY2021-22.

Furthermore, Pakistani freelancers contributed $265.444 million in IT export remittances during FY 2021–22, which represented 14.77% of the $2.616 billion in overall ICT export remittances during the same period.
