Pakistan’s Tekken 7 Team Secures $500,000 Victory in Nations Cup, Overcomes South Korea

Pakistan accomplished an impressive feat in the gaming realm on Sunday, triumphing over South Korea with a score of 3-2 in the renowned Tekken 7 Nations Cup held in Riyadh. The tournament, hosted by the Saudi E-sports Federation at Boulevard Riyadh City, brought together 16 national teams from across the globe.

Spanning four days, from July 6th to 9th, this thrilling competition allowed gamers to select from a diverse roster of over 50 Tekken characters, engaging in intense battles and advancing through the tournament for a chance to claim their share of a substantial $1 million prize pool. 

Pakistan’s formidable team, consisting of Arslan Siddique (aka “Arslan Ash”), Imran Khan, and Atif Butt, emerged as the victors, securing the highly esteemed trophy. With resounding chants of “Pakistan” from the passionate crowd, the triumphant trio proudly hoisted the trophy after their thrilling victory over South Korea.

Khan expressed his gratitude for the win, attributing it to the prayers of their mothers. Before reaching the final, Pakistan showcased their skills by defeating the United Kingdom 2-1, earning their place in the tournament’s decisive stage. They had also triumphed over South Africa, Japan, and Saudi Arabia during the group stages, solidifying their well-deserved spot in the semifinals.
