Powerfoods, a Lahore-Based Startup, Secures an Eight-Figure Angel Investment

A local husband and wife team, Syed Salahuddin and Sana Shirazi, who are passionate about health, nutrition, and fitness have introduced a variety of genuinely healthy, delightful, ready-to-eat breakfasts and snacks to the Pakistan market as healthy eating and nutritional awareness gain momentum Globally.

They began providing healthy and nutritious goods sweetened with only natural superfoods like honey, dates, raisins, and figs, without any artificial ingredients, cheap fillers, or preservatives, after doing extensive research and testing dozens of original recipes. Under the name “Powerfoods,” the pair started their company in 2019 by selling breakfast granolas from their kitchen.

The business soon extended its retail network and product portfolio to include cereals, granola bars, protein bars, high protein ice cream, and cookies as a result of encouraging sales and the lack of significant competition in the local added sugar-free/healthy snacking market. They met Syed Sheharyar Ali, an angel investor recognized for supporting firms that improve the lives of Pakistani citizens when looking for funds for growth and scalability. Sheheryar was so impressed with the products that he immediately approved the necessary funding.

The brand currently intends to develop and scale through a customized production facility, an innovative growing product range, a countrywide retail distribution network, as well as potential plans for export with the secured funding
