Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) and DynaSys Networks have announced a collaboration to advance IoT and satellite communications in Pakistan and the region. The two companies signed Memoranda of Understandings (MoUs) during a ceremony held at the National Aerospace Science and Technology Park (NASTP) in Rawalpindi.
Under the IoT-focused MoU, PTCL and DynaSys will integrate DynaSys’ IoT platform and end-user devices with PTCL’s Cloud and cybersecurity infrastructure and transmission networks, creating a fully integrated IoT service for Pakistan. Their goal is to become Pakistan’s largest IoT service provider with one million active end-user subscriptions.
Aamer Ejaz, Group Vice President Carrier Services, PTCL & Ufone 4G, emphasized the partnership’s role in bridging the digital divide and providing innovative solutions nationwide.
Regarding satellite communications, the collaboration aligns DynaSys’ satellite communications expertise with PTCL’s satellite infrastructure, aiming to become Pakistan’s largest satellite communications systems integrators and service providers and expand their market share in the region.
Ali Akhtar, Founder and CEO of DynaSys Networks, highlighted the significance of this collaboration in realizing IoT in Pakistan and expanding satellite communications in the country and beyond. PTCL and DynaSys Networks have joined forces to enhance IoT and satellite communication services in Pakistan, with the goal of becoming major players in these domains and fostering technological innovation and accessibility in the country.
