Suno, an AI-powered music platform, has launched a new feature called Covers that allows users to change the genre of any song. Currently in its beta stage, the feature enables users to transform songs into entirely different musical styles while maintaining the original melody. This tool functions similarly to filters applied to photos or text reformatting, letting users easily remix songs, from casual recordings to fully produced tracks.

Users can access the Covers feature by selecting a song from their library and choosing the “Cover Song” option, after which Suno’s AI adapts the track to the chosen genre. The feature also allows for the addition of lyrics to instrumental pieces, with Suno generating genre-appropriate lyrics automatically. However, the company recommends users personalize the lyrics for better results.

Suno emphasized that Covers offers music lovers a new way to engage with their favorite songs by experimenting with remixes, adding vocals, or imagining how tracks might sound in different genres. This new tool expands the platform’s creative possibilities and offers a fresh perspective on music creation.
