The president of JazzCash, the biggest fintech platform in Pakistan, Murtaza Ali, has been admitted to the Forbes Finance Council, the world’s most prestigious association for financial services experts.

 

Murtaza has been chair of the council, and his outstanding contribution to the Fintech and telecom industries gained him a place on the council. Murtaza, who has over 25 years of experience in such matters, continues to demonstrate the ability to innovate and grow companies. Under his leadership at JazzCash, a collaboration of Jazz and Mobilink Microfinance Bank, an entity implicit in the VEON Group, Pakistan, has been transfigured regarding digital financial services.

 

Murtaza will have access to possibilities to boost his professional influence as a Council member. As a fintech specialist, he will participate in exclusive forums and members-only events with other esteemed leaders and share his knowledge on Forbes.com and in Q&A sessions.

JazzCash, the biggest financial platform in Pakistan with more than 44 million users, is led by Murtaza Ali as president. Since 2019, Murtaza Ali has held leadership positions at JazzCash and has sat on the board of Mobilink Microfinance Bank.

 

Murtaza’s strategic leadership has transformed customer journeys through digitalization while consistently delivering superior business results. As CFO, he was instrumental in the merger of Telenor Microfinance Bank and ANT Financials. 

 

He is a chartered accountant and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP). He has attended executive leadership programs at the Stockholm School of Economics, Norwegian Business School, IMD, and London Business School, and he started working with Ernst & Young Pakistan.
