Two Pakistani startups, AdalFi and Adlytic AI, are among the shortlisted ones to attend Google’s first AI Academy for the Asia-Pacific region. The two will be among 23 selected startups to polish their AI solution during a three-day boot camp in Singapore that started this week.

Three new startups have emerged in this regard: AdalFi offering financial inclusion via AI-powered credit scoring, while Adlytic AI is turning CCTV cameras into smart retail analytics tools. Altogether, they are working on those very formidable issues related to their respective sectors and contributing towards the growth of the AI ecosystem in Pakistan.

More than 170 hours of mentorship by AI experts, up to $350,000 in Google Cloud credits, and networking opportunities with fellow innovators will be given to the program participants. Michael Kim, Head of Google for Startups APAC, again emphasized how AI allows solving the burning issues of this region. The program will close its curtains in December with a graduation day, where each startup will present to the investors and industry leaders what they built over the program period.
