YouTube has begun rolling out a new feature called community notes to a select group of users. Screenshots shared on social media reveal that some participants have been invited to test this feature, which allows viewers to add brief explanations or corrections to specific video content. This initiative, first announced in June, aims to improve the accuracy and clarity of videos, especially with the upcoming US presidential election.

Although there is no official launch date, YouTube has already provided a section in its Help database to guide users in creating and submitting community notes. The pilot program is currently available only to English-speaking mobile users in the United States, with participants chosen via email invitations or notifications within their Creator Studios accounts.

YouTube plans to use feedback from these initial testers to refine the feature, focusing on evaluating the helpfulness of the notes before making the feature widely available.
